I realized I somehow didn’t have a classic chocolate ice cream recipe for the Ninja Creami on my blog yet and that definitely needed to change.
This recipe is made for true chocolate lovers because it’s intensely rich and deeply chocolatey. I still remember the first time I used my Ninja Creami. I was instantly impressed by how creamy and smooth the ice cream turned out. It’s nothing like those typical homemade “ice cream” recipes without an ice cream maker that end up tasting more like frozen yogurt than actual ice cream.
And if there’s one flavor where you shouldn’t compromise, it’s chocolate.
One of the things I love most about the Ninja Creami is that you control exactly what goes into your dessert. You can adjust the sweetness to your liking, skip artificial flavors, and avoid all those unnecessary additives you can barely pronounce.
For this recipe, I intentionally went with a bold chocolate base that leans more toward dark chocolate than milk chocolate. I didn’t want a light or overly sweet chocolate ice cream, I wanted something rich, intense, and satisfying, where every spoonful actually tastes like real chocolate.

You can even notice it in the texture. Since this recipe uses real chocolate, the ice cream turns out extra creamy and slightly dense in the best possible way, giving it that luxurious scoop-shop consistency.
At this point, this chocolate ice cream has become one of my go-to Ninja Creami recipes. It’s easy to prep ahead, perfect for late-night sweet cravings, and always hits the spot when you want something rich and comforting.
So if you already own a Ninja Creami but haven’t tried making chocolate ice cream yet, trust me, you should. And even if you don’t consider yourself a huge chocolate person, this recipe might change your mind.
If you’re craving creamy, ultra-chocolatey homemade ice cream that feels a little indulgent with every bite, this recipe is absolutely worth trying.

Method
- Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently. Leave to cool, then transfer to a Ninja Creami container.
- Freeze for at least 24 hours.
- The next day, select the Ice Cream mode.
- Depending on the consistency, select another Respin cycle. In my case, the chocolate ice cream already had a nice firm consistency after the first cycle.
