Blueberries are one of my favorite berries, so of course I had to make an easy blueberry ice cream recipe for the Ninja Creami.
As blueberry season starts winding down, summer slowly gives way to fall. A lot of people instantly associate ice cream with hot weather, pool days, and sunshine, but honestly, ice cream is a year-round kind of dessert.
Especially during the cozy fall months, I love making homemade ice cream. This blueberry version keeps things simple and classic, but if you want to give it a more autumn-inspired twist, adding a pinch of cinnamon to the base works perfectly. Blueberries are not only delicious, they’re also packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber. In ice cream, they really shine because they bring natural sweetness and that gorgeous deep purple color. I love how vibrant and eye-catching this ice cream turns out every single time.

One of the best things about this recipe is how versatile it is. I usually enjoy it just as it is, but sometimes I like to top it with fresh blueberries or a few shavings of white chocolate for extra texture and sweetness. And if fresh blueberries are out of season, frozen ones work just as well in the ice cream base, which means you can enjoy this blueberry ice cream any time of year.
Blueberry Ice Cream with Cozy Fall Flavors
Why Blueberries Work So Well
Blueberries are the perfect ingredient for homemade ice cream: naturally sweet, fruity, and full of flavor. They create a creamy texture while adding a fresh berry taste that isn’t overly heavy or artificial.
Add a Cozy Fall Twist
A little cinnamon, a touch of vanilla, and a drizzle of maple syrup can completely transform this ice cream into the perfect early fall dessert. The warm flavors pair beautifully with the blueberries and make every scoop feel extra comforting as the weather starts cooling down.

Whether you just got your Ninja Creami or you’ve already been experimenting with different creations for a while, this blueberry ice cream recipe is always a good idea. It’s quick to prepare, beginner-friendly, and easy to customize depending on what you’re craving — extra fruity, extra creamy, or somewhere in between.
This recipe is also a great way to use up the last fresh blueberries of the season while bringing in some cozy seasonal flavors. And the best part? You know exactly what goes into your ice cream and can adjust everything to your own taste.
